"As far back as I can remember I have always cared about animals. It is essential to me that this commitment is continued after my death. I believe that WSPA is a wonderful organization that has the same approach to animals that I have, respectful, compassionate and dedicated. I sincerely believe that my gift to them will enable them to continue their valuable work for animals.

Cruelty and suffering on the part of animals is absolutely abhorrent to me. This is the reason I have left a legacy for WSPA, the World Society for the Protection of Animals."

Moya Schmied - ACT Australia
WSPA Supporter

I love animals and I believe that I have a duty of care towards them. They often suffer at the hands of humans and I wanted to do something that would help stop this. I realised that while I couldn't afford to give a lot of money at the moment, I could leave a residuary gift to WSPA in my will and hopefully by the time I die there will be enough money to make quite a bit of a difference!

I like that WSPA have a network of member societies. Local people working on local issues means that real change can be adopted. I also love the way WSPA works holistically, they assess each circumstance individually and work with the member society to develop the best solutions.

I love the way WSPA always looks at the long term situation, how they work towards making changes that will be implemented even when they can't be there.

I know the issues they are dealing with are complex and often the solutions are long term so I know that they will always need my support.
