Big Brother contestant Gianna’s infamous nurse’s uniform will soon be earning dollars to help save bears in Asia. Gianna will be auctioning the personally autographed uniform on eBay from Sunday 3 July with all proceeds going to the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA)

Gianna said the nurse’s uniform had been a bit of fun to liven up the Big Brother house but she had always planned to use it to help animals.

“My grandparents own an animal sanctuary so I’ve always loved animals and when I heard about the bears in Asia’s farms I immediately wanted to help,” she said.

“These farms are like medieval torture chambers and it’s unbelievable that places like this still exist. And even worse, products from these farms are available illegally in Australia!”

Around 14,000 bears are living in appalling conditions in bear farms in Asia and the WSPA is working to stop this terrible cruelty.

Around 14,000 bears are living in appalling conditions in bear farms in Asia and the WSPA is working to stop this terrible cruelty. The worst thing about the farms is that they are completely unnecessary because there are many herbal alternatives to bear bile.

Gianna said: “It makes me angry to know that people are torturing helpless animals purely for money and I want to do what I can to make sure this cruelty is stopped. I hope everyone gets online to bid for the nurse’s uniform because it will not only bring people hours of fun it will also help save bears.”

To place your bid, go to go to www.eBay.com.au and type Big Brother Gianna Nurse Uniform into the search box on the homepage. Or, if you don’t wish to bid but would like to make a donation to help stop bears and other animals suffering click here.
