A new report on China's bear bile trade, 'The Bear Bile Business', has
been released by WSPA. It reveals how existing international laws
protecting endangered species are failing to control an illegal
multi-million dollar international trade in bear parts, which is a
threat to the very survival of all bear species.

China's bear bile farms represent the worst example of battery farming,
with wild animals kept in appalling conditions of unimaginable cruelty.
This gruesome practice threatens the very survival of wild populations,
with the vigorous marketing of bear bile products across the world
having put the price on the head of every living bear.
