ASIA'S PEDIGREE HORROR SHOW (full story)
WSPA is working throughout Asia to introduce stronger animal protection laws, which would enforce strict controls on the breeding, sale and keeping of companion animals. Last year, such a law was passed in Taiwan and already most of the worst dog pounds have now been demolished and replaced with modern humane facilities. Pet shops and breeding farms have yet to be regulated.

You can make a difference. Here's how:

Write
You can help WSPA by writing to the governments of Japan, Korea, Thailand and China. Explain why you are appalled at the treatment of dogs in their country and urge them to introduce an animal welfare law to ensure that companion animals are protected from cruelty.

If you are involved in dog breeding, make it clear that you would not support the export of pedigrees to Japan, Korea, China or Thailand, until such laws are in place and enforced.
