Become a Volunteer

If you, like us at WSPA, love Animals and would like to get more involved then come and volunteer with our friendly team!

WSPA are open 9-5pm, Monday to Friday. Our offices are administration based and at present we are concentrating mainly on fundraising and publicity work. By volunteering your time you will help WSPA to cut down on administration costs - so even more goes to the animals!

Volunteer duties include; folding receipt letters, filing, photocopying, posting, basic computer and phone work. These duties vary depending on availability, what you enjoy and feel comfortable doing. There is always volunteer work available and we'd love to meet you!

Contact your local office for more details.

As we are located in St Leonards; Sydney and Parnell; Auckland volunteer work is available to those who can commute to these areas.

Please note that WSPA does not have any field work, or work that directly involves contact with animals, available in Australia or New Zealand. If you are interested in this kind of work we would suggest that you contact your local branch of RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), they may be able to suggest volunteer animal welfare groups within your area. Alternatively you might consider contacting your local council for a list of local animal welfare groups that you could assist.

If you are interested in volunteering overseas, there is a page on our international website, which lists animal welfare organisations overseas that you can write to direct.
